【作者概要】：法蘭西斯．史考特．基．費茲傑羅（Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald，1896年9月24日－1940年12月21日），中國大陸譯作菲茨傑拉德，是一位美國長篇小說、短篇小說作家，也是20世紀最偉大的美國作家之一。一生總共寫了4部長篇小說，150篇短篇小說。1925年《大亨小傳》問世，奠定了他在現代美國文學史上的地位，成了20年代「爵士時代」的發言人和「迷惘的一代」的代表作家之一。他的小說生動地反映了20年代「美國夢」的破滅，展示了大蕭條時期美國上層社會「荒原時代」的精神面。
